SteppingStones Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters Cayman
SteppingStones Recruitment have set up a program where our internal and external staff can opt to have a portion of their earnings go towards a Charitable Donations fund which SteppingStones then matches every month.
Each month we present the donation amount to a different charity on the island, and this month we were delighted to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands.
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is an organization set up to provide children with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-on-one relationships. Little’s are matched with a mentor, either a Big Brother or Big Sister.
The one-on-one mentoring program is more than a volunteer opportunity – it is a significant commitment, and one that can change not only your Little’s life but yours as well. In addition to the one-on-one mentoring program, BBBS have also set up a school-based mentoring and a Group Activities program which require less of a commitment but are still extremely rewarding.
The BBBS Cayman organization relies heavily on donations, volunteers and community support, and Ms. Lois Kellyman – Executive Director – was thrilled to receive the donation on behalf of BBBS. Michelle Gibbon, a Staffing Coordinator at SteppingStones, was very happy to present the donation cheque to Ms. Kellyman on 10th September. The organization is one that is dear to Michelle’s heart, and she is currently undergoing the process to become a mentor with the program.
