Trust Control Officer

SteppingStones is working alongside our client, a leading financial institution, to assist them with sourcing a Trust Control Officer to join their team.

Reporting to the Head of Trust Control, the Trust Control Officer will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of existing and prospective clients to ensure compliance with trust administration standards. This role involves validating and escalating screening alerts, compiling evidence, and supporting various risk and compliance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform client reviews as per standard procedures, ensuring trustee obligations are met.
  • Document, escalate, and resolve review findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review proposed new business, addressing any issues with management and team members.
  • Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and First Line Testing in line with Group policy.
  • Support colleagues on related projects and deputize for the Manager when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Trust and Company Administration.
  • Relevant qualifications (STEP, ICSA; ideally ICA or ACAMS).
  • Strong understanding of trust/company administration, financial statements, and banking practices.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Discretion and attention to detail in resolving risk and compliance issues.
