Senior Technical Specialist

Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join a full-service IT Consultancy and Business Solutions firm based in Cayman Islands.

Overview:
The Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for leading technical projects, providing expert guidance and support, and driving innovation within the technical architecture of the organization. The successful candidate is also expected to provide 2nd / 3rd line technical support to our clients and will be expected to own any IT support escalations from the Service Desk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage technical projects from conception to completion.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to drive innovation within the company.
• Collaborate with the Technical Architects, and others to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and implement best practices for technical processes and procedures

Must have requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing technical teams.
• Vendor certification required: Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft Azure, Cisco Meraki, CCNA, VMWare, Fortinet.
• In-depth knowledge of technical architecture and infrastructure.
• Previous experience of working for a Consultancy firm or Value-Added Reseller.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant technical tools and software.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with the possibility of remote work as per company policy.
• Standard working hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
