Head of Technology Operations

Description

This role requires an expert in the technologies and infrastructure necessary to support a high-performing, secure, and scalable banking environment.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, SaaS operations, and outsourced services critical to the bank’s operations. This leader will play a key role in risk management, incident response, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will be an adept communicator, working closely with executive leadership to ensure IT strategies align with business goals.

What you’ll do

• Oversee SaaS-based and internal IT infrastructure supporting banking operations in Cayman
• Manage outsourcing relationships with Cloud Service Providers and ensure alignment with service requirements
• Collaborate with the CISO to identify, mitigate, and report IT and information security risks, and provide regular updates to the CIO, COO, and Board of Directors
• Ensure protection and compliance of all data processed by the bank’s systems
• Lead problem, change, and incident management efforts within a Service Management (ITIL) environment
• Handle escalations from the IT organization and manage timely responses to critical alerts
• Oversee vendor and IT supplier relationships, from evaluation and selection to ongoing management and performance review
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive ICT management framework, including risk and incident management, in coordination with the CRO
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT assets, monitor critical operations, and proactively manage vulnerabilities
• Lead ICT-related projects, collaborating with the COO and Group CIO to support business needs
• Partner with the CRO and COO on business continuity planning, focusing on cyberattack resilience and third-party risk mitigation
• Build and mentor an IT team to support the bank’s evolving needs, driving performance through effective development and management

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field would be preferred
• Extensive experience in IT leadership with a track record in strategic planning and development
• Strong team management, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proven experience in budget management and resource allocation
• Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and best practices
