Claims Administrator - Contract

Description

This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide high-quality customer service while adhering to company standards.

What you’ll do

  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and email queries.
  • Assist walk-in clients with their inquiries and needs.
  • Verify and confirm eligibility and benefits for members.
  • Print and batch claims received for processing.
  • Accurately adjudicate claims in line with company guidelines and policies.
  • Scan and securely file claims and signed cheques on the network drive.
  • Prepare and assemble cheques for mailing or client collection.
  • Notify providers and members regarding cheque collection through email.
  • Review and manage pending claims, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ensure all confidential documents at the workstation are properly secured and stored at the end of each day.
  • Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Health Claims Manager.

What you’ll bring

  • High School Diploma required, with prior experience in administrative roles preferred.
  • High ethical standards, confidentiality, and a cooperative attitude when handling tasks and interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with company-specific databases or programs.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently while meeting deadlines.

This is a contract opportunity, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
