Vacation Stress

It seems everything in life these days causes stress; and that this stress can cause various health issues. According to numerous health sites such as the NHS, stress can cause headaches, insomnia, anxiety and depression. In the modern world, we all know this. But I recently read an article claiming that taking a vacation can actually stress you out. (WHAT?!) https://qz.com/1021728/going-on-vacation-is-stressful-according-to-recent-surveys-of-workers/?_lrsc=94206d59-0cc4-4e9c-9106-d7ec9f360c21

So, can taking a vacation stress you out more than not taking one? According to Jennifer and her article; she claims yes, but I personally don’t think so.

It is true that before a vacation one has to put in a few extra hours to make sure everything runs smoothly while you’re gone and once back, there are many emails that need to be dealt with but this shouldn’t stop you from going on vacation or relaxing while you are actually gone.

After recently taking my vacation after 13 months since my last; I can say it’s done me more good than harm.

According to another article, written by Lolly Daskal; there are actually scientific reasons why a vacation is good for you and how these can assist in the health issues that stress causes. https://www.inc.com/lolly-daskal/4-scientific-reasons-why-vacation-is-awesome-for-you.html

Moreover, a vacation is the time when you can spend time with family, visit a new country, experience something new, and get away from the office or environment where you spend all your time.

Even though I live in the Cayman Islands, where a lot of people come to take their vacation, I find everyone needs time away from their normal; even if it is a Caribbean island.

Take a vacation; promise you won’t regret it.
