9/11 in Remembrance
Its 9/11 and as many of you know today is a very touching day for many people who lost loved ones in the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon 14 years ago when nearly 3,000 people were killed and my heart goes out to each and every one of those family members.
Today is also a touching day for the people of the Cayman Islands, as today will mark 11 years since we experienced Ivan and we still can appreciate how difficult this time was for the people of the Cayman Islands.
In remembrance of these two events we would like to take a moment to reflect and to remember how important our family and friends really are and how life can change in the blink of an eye.
So I say to you right now, love and kiss each of your loved ones and let them know how special they are because life is short, and we should treasure each and every moment.
And therefore I leave you with this quote from Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross – “The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen. Things like these events made them!”
