SteppingStones is proud to sponsor a hole at upcoming golf championship!
SteppingStones is proud to be supporting the Cayman Islands Golf Association by sponsoring one of the holes at the Cayman Islands National Golf Championship which is scheduled to take place on May 12-13 at the North Sound Club and. The championship is organised by the golf association whose mission is to promote the game of golf in the Cayman Islands. The organization is run by a committee comprised of volunteers and is entirely dependent on annual membership dues, tournament entry fees, corporate sponsorships and various other donations. In addition to running a number of events throughout the year, the association has been involved in a very successful junior programme introducing children of all ages to the game with the assistance of the professional coaching team at the North sound Club and a number of players who help out.
The National Championships is one of the most popular annual golf events in the Cayman Islands, there are usually around 60 players of all playing levels who compete over the two days. Whilst the tournament is used in selection of the 2012 men’s and women’s national golf teams it also provides opportunities for those who are not of the standard to play for the national side to compete for titles against others at their level. SteppingStones trainer Emma Woodhouse will be playing in a bid the regain the title of Ladies Net Champion which she won a couple of years ago.
