Retail Manager

Description

The Retail Manager will be responsible for effective planning, organising, leading, coordinating and optimizing stock levels and staff. Manage daily operations of staff and ensure customer satisfaction for the store. Maximize sales and profits of the total store by managing display and appearance of products within store.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for gross profit, sales budget, payroll and managing total store expenses
  • Responsible for planning and managing the budgets in relation to profit and loss
  • Set and monitor store goals, including maximizing profitability & meeting sales targets
  • Responsible for T&D of assistant store managers, supervisors, associates
  • Motivate and guide team to maximize profitability, productivity, customer satisfaction
  • Communicate & implement creative and innovative marketing plans
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping and timely submission of reports
  • Responsible for reviewing quarterly inventory results performed by external auditing
  • Responsible for overseeing recruitment selection, training, performance appraisal, employee development
  • Manage and maintain strict compliance with company H&S programs
  • Assist with development, implementation, updating department policy and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and decision making skills

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of managerial experience in store operations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Understanding of Profit & Loss reports
  • Ability to work varied hours / days as store or department dictates
  • Proficient in MS suite
