Easter Weekend
The long awaited Easter weekend, from Good Friday 3rd April 2015 through to Easter Monday 6th April 2015, is rapidly approaching and there are lots of fun family activities taking place on island. One of the most popular is beach camping, which is a long standing tradition in the islands. Each year hundreds of people camp out on the beach for the entire weekend, so if you are interested in doing this, make sure to choose and mark a spot for your tent in advance. In addition, many of the larger hotels, including the Ritz-Carlton and The Marriott Beach Resort, hold family-orientated Easter related events such as egg hunts and games where kids can also meet the Easter Bunny. There are also the usual Sunday Brunches at local hotels and restaurants but these tend to fill up quickly so call ahead for a reservation. For sailors, divers and other outdoor enthusiasts, the Easter Regatta (round the island race) or the underwater Easter egg hunt are good choices as is the Kite Festival at the Kaibo.
