Overview:
As an IT Sales Specialist working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) firm, you’ll play a key role in driving growth by establishing relationships with new clients and securing contracts that align with the business’ goals. You’ll be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, while working closely with the technical team to ensure delivery of a wide range of solutions that are aligned with the clients’ IT needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
- Manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, presenting MSP solutions, preparing proposals, and closing deals.
- Utilize a variety of prospecting methods—cold calls, networking, face-to-face meetings, and digital outreach—to generate leads and opportunities.
- Understand client business challenges and recommend tailored IT solutions (e.g., managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, etc.) to meet their needs.
- Deliver impactful presentations to decision-makers, addressing both technical and business concerns.
- Work closely with technical product specialists to ensure proposed solutions align with customer requirements and business goals.
- Develop and maintain key account plans to identify growth opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and proactively resolve client issues.
- Cultivate relationships with third-party vendors and partners to enhance service offerings for clients.
- Conduct all sales activities with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT sales, specifically within an MSP or Professional Services environment
- A strong sales record is services and Microsoft engagements
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve KPIs and sales goals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and technical decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
