Senior Compliance Analyst
Description
Reporting to the Compliance Managers, the successful candidate will work independently, ensuring accurate, efficient, and confidential support for our compliance processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and a client-focused approach.
What you’ll do
- Analyze new clients/matters during onboarding to assess AML/CFT/CPF risks, determine CDD requirements, review documentation, and approve or escalate as necessary.
- Conduct screenings to identify PEPs, SOEs, sanctions issues, and regulatory or reputational risks.
- Perform risk assessments to assign appropriate risk ratings and escalate high-risk cases to senior management.
- Act as a primary contact for Compliance Administrators and Analysts, assisting with day-to-day queries.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with onboarding procedures per company policies.
- Advise staff on AML/CFT/CPF obligations and support operational teams in meeting compliance standards.
- Assist with compliance training material preparation, delivery, and maintenance across offices in Cayman, BVI, and HK.
- Support ongoing monitoring, risk audits, regulatory inspections, and submissions.
- Participate in local, regional, and global compliance projects.
- Undertake additional duties as required, including flexible hours when necessary.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory or compliance roles within financial or professional services.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA).
- Experience with Viewpoint, Truth Technologies, and Aderant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Cayman Islands AML/CFT/CPF regulations.
- Interest in areas such as asset financing, blockchain, fintech, and funds is a plus.
- Analytical and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with technical accuracy.
