HR Specialist
Description
This individual will be responsible for a range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communications.
- Onboard new employees, ensuring smooth integration into the company and providing necessary training on company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, job performance, and compliance with local labor regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support performance management processes, including conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and managing performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with Cayman Islands labor laws, including wage regulations, health and safety requirements, and anti-discrimination policies.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, ideally within a mid-level role in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance in the Cayman Islands.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration and payroll processes.
- A high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
