IT Manager - Contract

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen with an established client within the public sector! Our client is urgently looking for an IT Manager to join their team for a 3-month temporary contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of IT professionals, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures and best practices for IT operations.
  • Ensure optimal system performance to achieve near-zero downtime, aligned with company goals.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for software and hardware issues, coordinating with vendors when necessary.
  • Oversee systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and maintenance activities.
  • Supervise end-user services, including help desk and technical support.
  • Manage servers, security solutions, and network infrastructure.
  • Investigate and resolve complex hardware problems, performing advanced repairs and maintenance.
  • Respond to after-hours system problem calls and resolve system communications failures.
  • Maintain systems compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Lead the IT team in disaster recovery efforts.
  • Contribute to and maintain information technology strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or related field.
  • Experience and certifications in MCSE, CCNA, VCP, or other relevant network fields.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles.
  • Must be immediately available
